In order to serve and support those less fortunate then us, the Bayside Lions Club must conduct fund-raising events during the year. The monies we raise go to purchase eye exams and glasses, hearing tests and hearing aids, support youth organizations, diabetes groups, food baskets for those going though a traumatic period in their lives, and Habitat for Humanity. The Bayside Lions Club is one of a few worldwide who has contributed the full cost for a dog in the Leader Dog for the Blind program. We supported victims of Hurricane Floyd, Katrina and the tsunami victims with donation totaling $20,000. We are a united group serving a diverse community.
